’05 Pee Wee Team Wins 2017 Regional Silver Sticks Ft Wayne, IN

The ’05 Pee Wee Team won the Regional Silver Sticks held in Ft Wayne, IN over the past weekend.  The Swords defeated the Pittsburgh Artic Foxes, Columbus Blue Jackets, Bowling Green Ice Cats, and the Sylvania Stars by a combined 34-0 score.    They met the BG Ice Cats in the final, and it was an exciting game that was close until Adam Ganz opened the scoring up with a pass from Kale Shebetka.   Noah Geggie and Aiden Bolt netted two more goals from passes from Blake Newlin, Connor Flanagan, and Patrick Patton.    The Swords led a well balanced attack with several players getting multiple point games, and with goalies Noah Smith and Ayden Dyer receiving the Tournament’s MVP for their 5 shutout performance.


’05 Pee Wee Team Wins 2017 Indianapolis Firestorm Tournament

The ’05 Pee Wee Team won the Indianapolis Firestorm Tournament over the Oct 7-9, 2017 weekend.  The Swords went undefeated with wins over the Vernon Hills Ice Dogs, Gross Isle Islanders, Dayton Stealth, and Indy Racers.   The Swords beat the Dayton Stealth 6-0 in the championship game.   


Top Tier Pee Wee Team Wins 2017 Rock & Roll Cup Tournament

On the weekend of October 20th the PeeWee Top Tier Team headed to Cleveland for the Rock & Roll Cup Tournament. The 12U team, Coached by Rob Clark, lost the opening game but rallied, giving a complete team effort to win the next three. Heading into the final the team knew it was going to take 110% effort and they captured the Tournament Cup in overtime 2 - 1. The winning goal was put in by Henry Ropp and Kate Keller was named MVP.
